Paul Weston asks, "Is Britain sustainable?" Join us in Croydon on Saturday!

Since Wednesday's murder of a young soldier in Woolwich, politicians, the media and the police have joined forces to explain away the savagery and exhonerate predatory Islam. With this, as with every act of Muslim barbarism, the politically correct mantra, 'Islam is a religion of peace' becomes louder but less plausible.

Politicians dissemble because they fear the honest and open debate that might bring their multicultural house of cards crashing down. The left-wing media divert attention to the demonstrators, evidently hoping to set up a moral equivalence between rowdy street demonstrations and the cold-blooded murder that prompted them. And the police respond with aggression (and unaccustomed efficiency) to public criticisms of Islam by arresting and silencing dissenters.

At the root of many of Britain's troubles are the insane immigration policies (supported by all recent governments) that threaten to overwhelm our once placid country and plunge it into chaos.

Efforts to prevent such an outcome must begin by sweeping away the lies and appeasement of officialdom and replacing them by an honest and forthright discussion of the true nature of our present problems.

In Croydon, South London on Saturday 25 May Liberty GB leader Paul Weston will tell the truth about Britain's crisis, about the background to this week's atrocity, and the steps we must take to avert Britain's descent into civil conflict.
