The Home Secretary cited a reported statement of Robert Spencer’s "that may foster hatred". Espousing such views, she advised him, constitutes "listed behaviours" which entitle her to bar him from entry "under the Unacceptable Behaviour policy". Here is the statement:
It [Islam] is a religion and is a belief system that mandates warfare against unbelievers for the purpose of establishing a societal model that is absolutely incompatible with Western society.
Here are some quotations from legal and Islamic sources:
The Manual of Islamic Law:
"'Jihad' means to war against non-Muslims ... signifying warfare to establish the religion" (Manual of Islamic Law o9.0)
"Jihad is a communal obligation ..." (o9.1)
"Fighting is prescribed for you" (Koran 2:216)
"Slay them wherever you find them" (Koran 4:89)
"Fight the idolaters utterly" (Koran 9:36).
Fouad Belkacem of Sharia4Belgium:
"Sharia is Islam, to be clear. There is no difference between Islam and Sharia."
"Democracy is the opposite of Sharia and Islam."
European Court of Human Rights:
"Sharia is incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy" (Welfare Party case 2003).
Muslim Brotherhood Internal Memorandum (The Project):
"General Strategic Goals" include:
"Destroying Western Civilisation from within".
"Our campaign is ... destroying the foundations of Western Civilisation" (Norwegian State Television NRK documentary, "British Sharia Courts", Gates of Vienna, 17 October 2011).
Every point made by Spencer is confirmed. As he says, "These things remain largely unknown".
